SBA Failures - The Cause of an Future Double Dip Recession in the Usa

If we truly want to get out of this recession in one piece and prevent a double dip from our current slow-growing expansion period, we are going to have to help our small businesses succeed. Currently, the United States has the Small Business Administration, an agency which oversees the small business sector. However, it appears to be quite bureaucratic, and way too politically correct to truly solve the challenges that most small companies have today in our economy.

Whereas, the recent SBA initiative which guarantees 90% of the money in the loans for small businesses by the taxpayer, appear to be a pretty good move, unfortunately, commercial credit is so tight, that local banks in small communities are worried about having the reserves necessary to meet the banking requirements and regulations and therefore, they will not loan businesses any money at a time when these small companies need it the most.

Additionally, the small business administration is run by bureaucrats, not business people. Most of those folks that work in the agency have never run a small business of their own, and yet, they are in charge of helping America's greatest asset. After all, it is the smaller companies, which employs 75% of our workforce, and the people running these small companies account for 10% of our population. Until we can fix the small mom-and-pop sector, we cannot fix our economy.

Even if we solve the systemic problems of our economic banking system, without help to all the little businesses in our country, we can never fully recover or put America back to work. Therefore, SBA failures in their mission or lack of performance will cause the nation to go into a double dip recession. I hope you will please consider this.

Why You Should Plan Your Vacation to Arizona This Summer

Many are planning on boycotting Arizona because of their new Illegal Immigration law, but I assure you I am not one of them. In fact, I believe that Arizona has no choice but to adopt this law and here is why. Nearly 65% of all violent criminals in Arizona prisons are illegal immigrants - they came here illegally and have committed violent crimes. Each of these individuals costs Arizona taxpayers over $35,000 per year, far more than the cost to send every Arizona graduating high school senior to the University of Arizona.

That in itself is a big enough reason to have such a law. The US Federal Government has been unwilling to police our borders or protect the American People, the Federal Governments first and foremost responsibility. There are other issues too - many hospitals have closed down near the border due to costs associated with rules to help everyone coming into their emergency rooms. This means US citizens who must pay for their medical services have costs raised, while illegal aliens get free services.

Arizona like many states is under extreme financial pressures due to economic forces beyond their control, but they have another really severe disadvantage, that states is a border state - next door to a third world country, one which is out of control with drug cartel violence. That violence is spilling over into their state, but the Federal Government again does nothing to fix the problem, even goes out of its way to apologize to Mexico for our desire to police the borders.

Personally, I believe the State of Arizona not only has the right to create and enforce this law, but they also have the responsibility to do so, a responsibility our Federal Government shuns. For those who wish to boycott the State of Arizona, go right ahead, I refuse to join you, and will be going to Arizona and spending my money there in support of their commitment to stand up to their responsibilities.

Further for those who participate in May Day Demonstrations, please realize that May Day is a communist holiday, and for us to allow illegal immigrants to protest on American streets on a communist holiday, without kicking them out of the country is simply insane, and why we don't act is beyond me. Whose country is this anyway? Does it belong to the third world nation next door, or does it belong to us, our children, and our future grandchildren? You decide, as I am voting with my dollar for Arizona, continued freedom and responsible government.

Only 30 Minutes a Day to Raise a Genius

If daily reading begins in infancy, from the time the child is 5 years old, he or she has been fed roughly 900 hours of brain!

A kindergarten student who was not read to the school could give less than 60 hours after the reading diet.

If we want our children learn to read, they need to read. If your two year old child goes to her bookshelf and chooses her favorite book she has already read. It recognizes the cover of the book that you may have read aloud a hundred times in the past.

She plops herself on the floor and opens the book and begins to speak, which may or may not resemble the actual words to mutter. Even if they only chime in on familiar words while you read a bookloud, she is already reading. Why? Because she found meaning in print.

o If your child is still young, rhymes beginning with kindergarten.

o Recite a nursery rhyme or two per day. There are television shows, full of rhymes. This reading will play familiar ears with the sound and rhythm of words.

Almost all successful individuals understand the power of leverage. And that success in any endeavor is accelerated by using leverage.

You may become successful without using leverage but, you if you aren't using it, that means you are willing to compromise the level of success, speed, and time necessary to get to each level.

Leverage is an action or mechanical effect to help achieve a purpose. Leverage has been used since time immemorial. In fact, each of us has experienced, used, or witnessed leverage, but we are not all aware of the importance and the incredible power of leverage in everything that we do.

The cost of not utilizing leverage in your personal life and business strategy is huge. We need to get intentional and strategic in the use of leverage in every part of our lives. But first, let's discover where we did not use leverage and thus experienced limited results.

Here is my example. In the late '80s, I became involved in the training and speaking industry by buying into a sales-training franchise. It seemed to make sense. I was a top sales performer and this transition was one where I could bring immediate credibility to my programs.

One major item was missing, however. Yes, leverage...in the area of marketing. I look back at this now and shudder at what I did. As franchisees, we were instructed to have four appointments a day and hold public programs for our sales training. The method taught by the franchisor was one without leverage: simply pick up the phone and start calling people - anyone, one-on-one. Don't bother to profile the potential clients - just call.

1) Evaluate your tolerance for risk

Opening a new business is a scary prospect. There's a lot of personal, professional and financial risk to consider. It's natural when contemplating such a profound step in your career to look at ways to manage your risk and increase your chance of success.

They may be willing to share detailed financial data, and can confirm or refute claims made by the parent company. A franchise owner can answer questions the franchisor may be legally bound from discussing. You may be able to make assessments about your own management style or potential business location by observing theirs. Visiting operating franchises in the course of due diligence may be the single best method for evaluating your potential success with a franchise opportunity.

13) When the time is right, hire a legal and financial team

Getting expert advice on the legal and financial aspects of a potential franchise purchase is essential. Some buyers skip this step to save money, but this is not the place to cut corners. The relatively small fees a lawyer and accountant charge pale in comparison to the enormous financial loss you'll incur if the business fails.

Bringing in the legal and financial experts too soon in the purchase process can also be a mistake. Their professional opinions are necessary and valuable, but their advice can be expensive and potentially counterproductive in the early stages of your search. Waiting to bring in legal and financial advisors until your franchise choices have been narrowed down dramatically is not just cost effective. It's the logical way to use the team's expert advice to your best advantage.

14) Feel the fear and do it anyway

The best way to manage your fear of buying a new business is to manage your risk. The best way to manage your risk is to learn everything you can, then proceed according to what you've learned.

Start the process with no intent to purchase. That removes the chance of getting so excited about business ownership that you take an irrevocable leap with the first prospect you research.

Above all, ask yourself "can I picture myself doing this all day?" If the answer is "no," then be grateful for what you've learned and move on to researching a different industry.

The research and due diligence processes get easier with practice. It may take a few attempts to find the perfect franchise, but your efforts are not wasted. By actively engaging in the search, you've made yourself familiar with the process. And there's no fear in the familiar.

15) Go it alone

Business partnerships are appealing on the surface because the idea of splitting costs, liability and workload is tempting. But it's nearly impossible for any two individuals to work together as much as necessary to launch a new business without problems developing.

If it is a financial necessity to form a partnership in order to purchase your franchise, it's crucial to define the roles each partner will play well in advance. If at all possible, try to structure the partnership so you own 51% and have the power to make binding decisions for the business.

Entering a partnership is not to be taken lightly, and should not be done without consulting your attorney.

16) Lease, lease, lease

Most franchises provide detailed specifications on the type of commercial real estate required to launch the business, and many will assist with the search for an appropriate property.

Leasing a commercial property is nearly always preferable to purchasing one. The capital required to purchase a property is better reserved to fund operating costs for the first few years. It's also preferable to sign short lease terms with options to extend rather than committing to a long lease term.

Because many commercial leases include taxes and assessment fees buried in the fine print that can cause financial problems for your business, it is very important to have your attorney review any commercial lease before you sign it.

17) Don't forget you've got to eat

One of the most common mistakes people make when working up a financial business plan is forgetting to pay themselves. This simple oversight is at the root of a lot of failed businesses.

In a perfect world we would all have enough in savings to go a year without a paycheck, and everything a new business makes could go right back into making it stronger.

The reality is we've all got bills to pay. It's important to be honest and thorough when estimating the salary the business will need to pay you. Cutting yourself short will create enormous problems, especially if your fledgling business can't afford to give you a raise yet.

This is one area where decisions you make for the business directly impact your personal life. The franchise isn't going to do you much good if your heat's turned off and the bank is foreclosing. Taking extra care with this critical detail could someday save more than just your business.

18) Consider alternate financing options

If you wake up in the morning and dread going to work, your franchise will not be successful. It's as simple as that.

The beauty of franchising is the endless variety of options - there's literally something for everyone. You just need to devote the time and effort to figuring out which one will make you hop out of bed every morning, happy to be doing what you love.

21) Use every resource at your disposal

Investing your personal, professional and financial future in a franchise opportunity is a big decision. Use every source of information you can find, and compare the data to make sure you're getting the whole story.

Pursuit of Making Money - Older Than Dirt

How long have men and women been in hot pursuit of making a buck? Even since before the dawn of printed currency. So much of our existence is preoccupied with earning enough money to sustain our families, and our lives in general. I wish it weren't this way. But it's what propels me onward, and hopefully, upward.

Many have even chosen to minimize their lifestyles so that money is not at the top of their priority list. If only I could achieve that. But alas, I have chosen to make earning money a top goal of mine: to become financially solvent, debt free, and able to afford some of the good things in life, however you'd like to define them. I admit, I am one driven guy. But, my goal also includes you. What good is becoming successful without being able to share the way I'm doing it with others? And, I think "The Way" is through affiliate marketing. Affiliate yourself with the right company or companies at the right time and you could certainly be well on your way toward a reliable stream or streams of income.

I'm not talking about being able to afford fast cars and McMansions. I'm talking about not ever having to worry about debt. Living within my means is the target. But, in order to do that, you have to adjust "means" to the amount of money you can consistently make over time. There's no magical formula. I just want to be able to pay all my bills, stop using wasteful and deceitful credit cards, with enough left over to save for emergencies and rainy days. Maybe what I'm really searching for is financial peace of mind.

Yes, this may all be wishful thinking, but I believe anything is possible, even in the economic free-fall that has become the norm, unfortunately. Part of my quest is wanting "it" bad enough. If you've decided to throw in the towel, stop reading right now.

But, if you are willing to give it a go, and refuse to give in to uncertainty, fear and all the downright ugly news coming at you every day, you'll always stand a chance. That has pretty much been the mindset of so many Americans throughout our history, not to mention the successes of many others around the world. You've got to insist on being in the game in order to succeed at it. Otherwise, it becomes a nauseating experience reading about everybody else's success stories.

So, what you've got to do, if you're determined to become a "player," is to begin the wholesale search for what it is you'd like to do in order to earn enough money doing what you like. And, if you can do it at home, well all the better, to be sure. That's certainly how I'm proceeding. With the advent of the Internet, the world of possibilities is literally endless. But, with that potential comes lots of risk. Make sure only to become involved with a business or enterprise online that is transparent, legitimate, fair and honest.

It's not always easy to determine these things, but with enough investigation you can come to a pragmatic conclusion on whether to jump in or not. First things first: never spend a dime if you can help it. I know for a fact that you can certainly succeed online without having to fork over any fees. That does not mean you should never do this, but it is a good place to start. Test the waters. If you only invest your time (and I'm not downplaying the fact this is a very valuable commodity in itself), then you can rest assured that you're not going to become a part of something ludicrous out there.

As a little thought and observation proves slightly, you can become rich in any business, the question then turns to one of the ...

What is the # 1 best deal for * you * get in, if you want rich?

As a general rule, you will get rich most easily in a business that your strongest talents, abilities or talents, whether innate or developed applications.

In other words ...

You will get rich most easily in a business that uses natural ordeveloped abilities, skills and talents you already possess * *.

For example ...

If you have a strong mechanical ability, you may be rich most easily in a business that makes use of your mechanical ability. If you are strong writing skills, you will get rich most easily in a business that makes use of your writing skill. If you have strong musical talent, you will get rich most easily in a business, that the use of your musical talent.

However ...

Nowhere is it written that youlimited just a business that your strongest talents, abilities or talents uses.

Why?

Because there is not an ability, skill or talent that ever proved by Anyone's, anywhere, anytime that you are not at least the basics and you can not develop if you like, born.

Do you think Bill Gates was born, know how to code software?

I doubt it.

What Donald Trump? Do you think he was born with the skills necessary to build a very successful,Multi-billion-dollar real estate empire?

Of course not.

Although each of them can promote some natural inclinations of their respective companies, both were born in developing the necessary skills, abilities or skills are required in order to be successful in their chosen business ... and so can you!

Question ...

Because you can reach into every business, because you can develop the necessary skills, abilities and talents, and get rich in any business and there are the chancesYou will do anything to make money anyway ...

Why not something you like?

In his book "The Science of Getting Rich" Wallace D. Wattles writes:

"... You best in a business that you like ..."

There you have it ...

Plain and simple ...

The # 1 best business get in, if you want rich ...

A business that you like!

If it uses your strongest talents, abilities or talents, the better. If not, no big dealYou develop it as you go along.

see one of the biggest mistakes people make me, and I see it all the time, they will decide they want to do better financially, they decide they want to be rich, then they start looking for ways to make money without regard whatsoever what to do or how to do it, just as important, what they do * not * happy.

In other words, regardless of how they justify it, they look for a company in purely for the money, they think they can agree onto make.

Big mistake!

From my personal experience I can tell you ...

Whenever I do something purely for the money, that's exactly what I do most of my life I have done, not only I was absolutely miserable in the process, but every single time, without exception, eventually I ended up falling flat on my face . .. big time!

So ...

Here's my advice ...

Instead of chasing every new "money making opportunity," which comesDown the pike, find out what you love to do, and then * think * one way or ways to do successfully.
